ABOUT NOLAN NGUYEN
A LITTLE ABOUT ME!
Hey y'all! My name is Nolan and I am a photographer based in La Jolla, CA! I am currently a student at the University of California, San Diego majoring in Human Biology with a minor in Visual Arts: Photography!
While my main focus is to attend medical school and specialize in Emergency Medicine, photography has become a medium for me to detach and embrace my creativity. When I have the time, I love to spend it on portrait photography and be in the position to hand you a photo that leaves you speechless. Throughout my time with you, I want to be able to create those meaningful connections in order to portray you in a way that expresses your true self.
At the end of the day, I hope to capture the candid moments that are completely unexpected yet beautiful.
HOW IT STARTED!
I had always been interested in photography, but I never realized how much I loved taking photos until I came to San Diego for school. During my first year at UCSD, my roommates and I would go out late in the evening after we finished studying to mess around with the camera and slowly it become one of my greatest passions as well as an extension of who I am! From capturing simple aesthetic portraits, to a friend's "coming out" photos, to now diving into how to use photography to tackle current issues in society, I am constantly learning more and aim to do the same during my time with you.
